Today in Rabat, Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, received H.E. Arshak Poladian, who presented copies of his letters of credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, with residence in Yerevan.
During the meeting, Minister Bourita congratulated Ambassador Poladian on his appointment and wished him success in his mission to strengthen Armenian-Moroccan bilateral relations.
Ambassador Poladian expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing cooperation between Armenia and Morocco. He highlighted the centuries-old ties between the Armenian and Arab peoples and provided insights into the current dynamics between Armenia and Arab countries. The Ambassador emphasized his willingness to work towards elevating Armenian-Moroccan relations to a qualitatively new level, fostering collaboration across various sectors.
A key topic of discussion was the situation in the South Caucasus, where Ambassador Poladian briefed Minister Bourita on Armenia’s “Crossroads of Peace” initiative, introduced by the Armenian government as a framework for regional stability, lasting peace, and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Additionally, Ambassador Poladian met with Adghoughi Redouane, Director of European Affairs at the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The meeting was followed by an official ceremony, during which both parties discussed shared interests, the importance of political dialogue between the two countries’ foreign ministries, sectoral cooperation, and the exchange of high-level visits.
This visit marks a significant step in reinforcing diplomatic ties between Armenia and Morocco, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
